Servicing all of Berkshire and surrounding areas
Q. What is the difference between a Combi boiler and a normal boiler?
A. With a Combi boiler there is no hot water storage tank and no need for tanks in your loft. Your hot water is instantaneous therefore wastes less energy.
Q. Why are the bottom of my radiators cold?
A. This is usually due to a build up of sludge in your heating system and can usually be solved with a power flush.
Q. After a power flush, will sludge build up and cause this problem again?
A. More than likely however several steps can be taken to prevent this from happening. Adding chemicals or installing a more permanent serviceable device such as a Magnaclean will help to prevent sludge build up.
Q.How often should I have my boiler serviced?
A. Boilers should be serviced once every 12 months by a Corgi registered installer.
Q.I have no space on an outside wall for a new boiler, what can I do?
A. Most modern boilers also have available a vertical flue kit which makes boiler positioning more versatile allowing them to be fitted in the middle of a house and flued through the roof.
Q. My gas bills seem to be extremely high, could there be any reason for this.
A. It could be that your boiler is old and inefficient. When a boiler is 12 years old it can become less than 50% efficient meaning that for every £100 you spend on gas bills £50 of it is wasted. It is the Governments recommendation that a boiler be replaced after 10 years.
